Autopatrol

Hello, could I please ask that my co-worker Marina have Autopatrol rights on Commons? We're working on updating some videos I already uploaded and she's bumping into this limitation. Thank you. CKoerner (WMF) (talk) 19:15, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Be able to add audio files to Wikimedia Commons. Thank you. Mentxuwiki (talk) 10:13, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You can add audio files already (.flac and .ogg), and given both recent blocks and even more recent copyvios, I don't want to enable mp3 uploads for you since sound recordings are even more complicated copyright-wise. Abzeronow (talk) 16:18, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I would like to upload audios of sayings. The recordings are of women 70-80 years old. It seems to me a very valuable material. If I make mistakes, I understand being told what I did wrong and being blocked. But if I haven't made mistakes yet, why am I being penalized? Why not explain properly what can and can't be done? Pedagogy is more motivating than punishment. Mentxuwiki (talk) 18:55, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have no intention of punishing you. But as stated, I don't think you can be trusted with the ability to upload mp3s yet. Also as stated, you do have the ability to upload other audio formats. As for recent mistakes, you uploaded photos that contain complex logos and in March 2024, you uploaded press photos that weren't free.  Oppose for now. Willing to reevaluate in 3-6 months. Abzeronow (talk) 19:22, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with Abzeronow. You can still upload audio for example in Ogg format Bedivere (talk) 19:26, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm requesting the autopatrol right to update and/or improve existing image files Thank you. Rettinghaus (talk) 08:46, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Overwrites like File:Francesco Maria Veracini.jpg should be uploaded as new files. Going from greyscale to sepia is not a minor visual change. Abzeronow (talk) 18:39, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I kindly request the autopatrol right to update and/or improve existing image files. E.g. currently planning to update various French army insignia rotations. Thank you. 19 (talk) 17:01, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'd like to see some more edits from you. Under 100 is generally too low, even accounting for your patroller status on Chinese Wikipedia. Abzeronow (talk) 18:43, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Now, over 100, which is good. I'd still like more though. I'm willing to keep this request open though. Abzeronow (talk) 16:22, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am requesting the autopatrol right, mainly for editing map images. I believe I have a good track record of map image edits and uploads. (One example is the United States abortion laws map, which I have made many helpful edits to in order to reflect changing laws and court rulings in the country.) If given this right, I will use it to continue to make helpful edits mainly to map images as I believe I have done in the past. Thank you. President Loki (talk) 09:30, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Your edit count is still rather low. Abzeronow (talk) 15:47, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
What would be a more ideal edit count? President Loki (talk) 20:34, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Guideline says 500, but I'd say at least 250. Abzeronow (talk) 21:02, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

AutoWikiBrowser access

I would like to apply a deletion notice in bulk to a category of images that I am appealing to be removed due to incorrect copyright status - Category:Images_from_Auckland_Museum_marked_with_cultural_permissions as per my request at Commons:Deletion_requests/Category:Images_from_Auckland_Museum_marked_with_cultural_permissions. There are ~2500 images requiring this notice as per the deletion request requirements, and OpenRefine seems untenable as a batch editing option as the reconciliation service currently has a bug that has stopped me from doing any editing to that category. Of course, if there is an alternative to AutoWikiBrowser I would be happy to hear it - anything is better than copy and pasting 2500 times! Thank you. Dactylantha (talk) 01:47, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Dactylantha, you could request that job to be done on Commons:Bots/Work requests. --Achim55 (talk) 18:31, 29 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Not done, stale for more than 4 months. -- CptViraj (talk) 18:47, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I would like to fix common spelling/formatting errors in English descriptions for files Thank you. Danielt998 (talk) 18:31, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Danielt998: Hi. Sorry for the long delay. Can you please give some examples of intended edits? -- CptViraj (talk) 05:34, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Not done, no reply for a month. -- CptViraj (talk) 18:45, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

My watchlist has many Estonia-related files, categories etc. I would like to easily recognize unpatrolled edits and patrol edits which aren't patrolled yet. I already have file mover rights in CS Thank you. Estopedist1 (talk) 11:00, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, everyone! I'm writing another message here to reinforce my previous request! Our deadline for the start of the campaign is approaching! Thank you for your attention!. Vsdetoni (Projeto Mais+) (talk) 19:08, 25 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I would like to request permission to create campaign pages on Wiki Commons. I am part of the project Projeto Mais Teoria da História na Wiki, and we are promoting an event for content editing on Wikimedia projects called Mais Mulheres em Teoria da História na Wiki. One of the activities is uploading images of women intelectualls and the PDF file of women's scientific productions under free license to WikiCommons according to the event's scope. The project has done something similar in the past, with the only difference being the event's theme, as you can see here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:UploadWizard?campaign=MaisDiversidade. Thank you very much in advance. Vsdetoni (Projeto Mais+) (talk) 17:57, 19 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Upload Campaigns support the automatic addition of Structured Data. Currently I have to let my bot add "participant in" statements to files that have been uploaded as a part of campaigns (like WLE, WLM). This work could be reduced if I could add the relevant instructions to the campaigns. I have read the documentation. Thank you. Ameisenigel (talk) 14:14, 5 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
